WHAT: In recognition of National Fire Prevention Week, Rep. Scott Boyd (R-West Lampeter) will join with leaders of local fire companies to urge families to be educated in all facets of fire prevention and to develop plans for staying safe should an emergency occur. Additionally, the group will discuss ways that local residents can help fire companies and first responders to increase their success in serving communities. National Fire Prevention Week runs from Oct. 3 through Oct. 9.

Stan Saylor (R-Red Lion), John Bear (R-Lititz) and members of the York County and Lancaster County House Republican delegations today congratulated John Falk as he began his 89-mile walk from York to Washington, D.C. to protest the use of Project Labor Agreements (PLAs) in government contracting. Falk is walking from the York County Courthouse to the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington to present a petition protesting the use of PLAs in government contracting to lawmakers.
